Cabin Run Covered Bridge carries Covered Bridge Road across Cabin Run Creek in Plumstead. It was built in 1871 and is 82 feet long.
Erwinna Covered Bridge carries Geigel Hill Road across Lodi Creek in Tinicum. It is 56 feet long and was built in 1871.
Frankenfield Covered Bridge carries Cafferty Road across Tinicum Creek near Hollow Horn Road in Tinicum. It is 130 feet long and was built in 1872.
Knecht’s Covered Bridge carries Knecht’s Road across Durham creek in Springfield Township. It is 110 feet long and was built in 1873.
Loux Covered Bridge carries Wismer Road across Cabin Run Creek in Plumstead Township. It is 60 feet long and was built in 1874.
Mood’s Covered Bridge carries Blooming Glen Road across the Perkiomen Creek in East Rockhill township. It is 120 feet and was originally built in 1874. Unfortunately the bridge was destroyed by a fire set by vandals on June 22, 2004. There are plans to rebuild the bridge.
Pine Valley Covered Bridge carries Old Iron Hill road across Pine Run Creek in New Britain Township. It was built in 1842 and is 81 feet long. It is just outside Doylestown.
The Schofield Covered Bridge crosses Neshaminy Creek in Tyler State Park and is not open to regular traffic. It is located in Tyler State Park andis located just outside Newtown. The bridge burned in 1991 and was rebuit to it’s original design. It is 170 feet long and was rebuilt in 1997.
Sheard’s Covered Bridge carries Covered Bridge Road at the border of East Rockhill and Haycock Townships. It was built in 1873 and is 130 feet long.
South Perkasie Covered Bridge is situated in Lenape Park in Perkasie. It has been moved from it’s original location where it crossed the Pleasant Spring Creek and is now landlocked. It is 93 feet long and was built in 1832.
Uhlerstown Covered Bridge carries Uhlerstown Hill Road over the Delaware Canal in Tinicum Township. It is 101 feet long and was built in 1832.
Van Sant Covered Bridge carries Covered Bridge Road over Pidcock Creek in Solebury Township. It is 86 feet long and was built in 1870. It si a short drive from New Hope and Washington Crossing.
Seeing the bridges: It would be a little difficult to see all the bridges in one day. Finding a place to park near some of the bridges can be difficult. Also, you need to be extremely careful if you walk through a bridge as the vehicular traffic sometimes proceeds too fast. Most of the bridges are located in the more rural upper part of Bucks County (northwestern portion)
