War Memorial at Yardley Pennsylvania

There is a small war memorial in Yardley at East Afton and Delaware Avenues. The memorial is situated on what was the approach ramp to a bridge that spanned the Delaware River to New Jersey.

Inscription on the plaque: “This monument is dedicated to those veterans who made the supreme sacrifice in service to God and this great nation”

In addition to the monument  and plaque, there are medallions commemorating the major wars: The Revolutionary, the War of 1812, The Mexican War, The Indian War, The Grand Army of the Republic, the Confederate Army, The Cuban War, WW1, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf War
