It’s always good to see my Alma Mater showing up in a positive way in the news. HGP was a great place to go to school. It’ s locate in Cornwells Heights on Route 13. If you are travelling down 95, you can get a pretty good view of the school.I’ve heard it said that “A gentleman does not need to know Latin, but he should have at least forgotten it”. When I attended HGP in the 70’s Latin was mandatory (and yes, I have forgotten a great deal of it). The Newtown Friends School also teaches Latin to their 6th Graders..The other thing about HGP is that I Always think of it when I see Harry Potter or The Name of the Rose. It’s built somewhat like a gothic castle. It is, of course, much smaller than anything in Harry Potter. The Chapel is truly beautiful with pews that face the center. I rememer always trying to get the pews furthest from the aisle because they had armrests.
