Dining – review of the Waterfront Grill

The Waterfront Grill is housed in a Victorian Building overlooking the waterfront park and the Delaware River.  Parking on Mill Street is scarce and it is metered. However, There is plenty of free parking in the municipal lot just north of mill street.

The bar and bathrooms are very smoky. However, the smoke free dining room was clear.

We stopped in for lunch. I had the cordon bleu. This was a grilled breast of chicken with a slice of ham and melted cheese on a roll. One word – delicious. I also had the chocolate cake for desert. Again, it was delicious.

The one drawback was the wait. The day we visited was Celtic Day. There were huge crowds at the fair. Many of these people decided to lunch at the Waterfront. We opted to eat inside in the air conditioning so the wait was acceptable.

The Waterfront Grill faces the Delaware River. The dining room where we ate was all glass and offered a great view of the river.

The bar is very smoky. The decor is plain.

I had the crab cake sandwich which was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Deserts were good as well.
