| Solebury Township is located in Central Bucks County. It surrounds the Borough of New Hope. The Delaware River runs along its eastern and northern borders. Plumstead Township is to the northwest, Makefield Township is to the southeast and Buckingham Township lies to the west. The northern section of Washington Crossing State Park is found at the southeastern end of Solebury Township. There you’ll find Bowman’s Tower and Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve. Route 32 also known as River Road runs along the Delaware River and Delaware Canal. This road offers one of the more scenic drives to be found in Bucks County. If you follow Pidcock Creek Road from Route 232 (Second Street Pike) to Covered Bridge Road you’ll come to the Van Sant Covered Bridge, the only covered bridge in Solebury township and one of less than a dozen covered bridges in Bucks County.
