| If you are visiting the Cafe con Leche from State Street, look for the small sign you see in the photo above. The cafe is in the basement of the building. The entrance is bright and cheerful thanks to conservatory type windows at the entrance. There is free parking in the lots behind the building. There are two small rooms with about a half dozen tables each. I opted for the Chicken Quesadilla . The food was great as was the service. If you go with anyone who is mobility impaired keep in mind that the restrooms are on the third floor. I don’t believe that there are any at the basement level. There is no elevator. | Café Con Leche is a small casual eatery with very fresh food and Mexican décor. I had split pea soup to start which was very fresh, thick and with hefty carrots. Then, I had quesadillas which were stuffed with mashed potatoes and chicken with a tomato and pepper hash served as a condiment. All the desserts are homemade and scrumptious. I had tiramisu. Great casual restaurant for daily dining. |
