The County Theater

This is the County Theater in downtown Doylestown.  This is in the heart of the old shopping district. There are a lot of unique shops and restaurants in the immediate area. One of my favorite shops is Poor Richard’s which would be on the same side as the theater and to the left.  Above is the Art Deco County Theater. For avid readers, there is the Doylestown Bookshop on Main Street where you can browse and buy a cup of coffee.

Doylestown has several unique museums including the Mercer Museum, Fonthill, The Moravian Tile Works and the Michener Museum.  If you like dining, Doylestown has it’s share of great dining establishments. check out our dining reviews. Septa’s R5 line terminates in the center of the town. In addition there is a small airport.

Delaware Valley College, known for it’s agricultural programs is nearby.

The county seat of Bucks County is Doylestown. The current Bucks County Courthouse sits on one of the higher locations in the town.

Most of the parking is metered, however, there is some free parking across from the courthouse
