Washington Crossing Taylorsville store | Washington Crossing | Parks | Destinations

The Taylorsville Store – This is a really neat store with some unique merchandise. It is laid out as a traditional general store, which it was. Of course, there are plenty of books about the Revolutionary War, 1776  and Washington’s Crossing.  They have replica (non firing) muskets and swords, 1700’s traditional colonial toys, tricorn hats, and souvenirs. They also have bricks of green and black tea which the proprietor explained was the type of tea used in colonial days and thrown into the Boston Harbor during the Boston Tea Party. You take the brick and grate or shave the tea into a tea kettle.

There is a coffee and ice cream shop downstairs.
