| Here are some views of Washington Crossing Historic Park. This was the spot where General Washington crossed the Delaware River to defeat the Hessians at Trenton. The Colonial Army’s victory was a crucial turning point in the Revolutionary War. You can view several historical colonial buildings and a shed housing the Durham boats that Washington used to move his troops across the river. |

| Getting there: Washington Crossing is about two miles north of I-95 on Route 32 (River Road). The correct name of the park is Washington Crossing, not Washington’s Crossing. The park is separated. The Pictures here are of the southern part of the park. This is where the Visitor’s Center is located and is known as the McConkey’s Ferry Section. The northern part is 3.5 miles north and is known as the Thompton’s Mill section. Adjacent to the Thompson’s Mill section of the park is the Bowman’s Hill Tower and Wildflower Preserve. |
